Pahurehure inlet LCS Project

Here is our Pahurehure inlet Project. For the past term 4 we have been learning about the pahurehure inlet and what lives in and around that area. We went for a walk on the pahurehure inlet board walk this term. We took photos,we looked closely at the wild life that lived there and made sure that they were definitely included in our project. We used hot glue, lots of clay, paint and some colored paper. I definitely enjoyed creating this project with my friends.

The magical library

 The magical library

Thick and thin books fill the rusty shelves of the magical library. Each book holding an adventure for the reader. Imagination leaps out of the books in the magical library. Butterflies fill the air. Each book inserting you into the story. Librarians walk past shelves wearing big spectacle glasses shushing people who dear to make a peep. Mystery roams the magical library like a curious cat. The magical library gives joy to who ever needs it. It welcomes you with a warm greeting like a kind and caring blanket. The magical library is full of wonder, adventure and imagination.

How whales change climate

 How Whales change climate.

Introduction

Did you know that whales help our oceans survive. Whales are very important to our oceans. They help fish and plants live.

Here is how whales change climate and how they help our oceans.

A few men in japan had some thoughts about whales. They thought that if we kill all whales we would be able to have more fish. Because there wouldn't be any whales to eat large amounts of fish. So they began to kill whales. But after a while they discovered that there weren't as many fish as there were when there were more whales.

This Happened because whales release fleecal ploom. Fleecal ploom is rich with iron and carbon. Whales release this in the photic zone which is an area that is near the surface of the water. Some fish and underwater plants can only survive in the photic zone because they can't live without fleecal ploom.

In my opinion i think that we should treasure our whales and make sure we should respect how they provide life in our oceans.

At the end of the driveway

At the end of the driveway.

At the end of the driveway the world is running. At the end of the driveway the world is passing.

Kids wander by houses and gallop past trees. Kids skip along, their faces smiling. In wet and dry kids pass by.

Inside their heads their thinking. Inside their glasses the kids are blinking.

Not yet seeing,not yet knowing

That what’s gone is a new beginning, that what begins is already growing, fast then faster

Adults, with their wild looks spraying in the faces of playful kids to adult sites.

Reading Week 10 Term 3

AWH Reusable Bags

Why You should use reusable bags

Have you ever thought about using reusable bags? I know I have. I think that using reusable bags will definitely save you and our planet. Reusable bags are a great and easy thing to invest in.

Environment Friendly

Plastic bags. More than millions of plastic bags kill our sea life. For example, one of the sea turtles' most liked foods is jellyfish. Plastic bags in our oceans can be mistaken as jellyfish by turtles and lots of other animals.  The plastic bags will in the end  kill the animals by  covering their lungs to block their throat and many other ways.

Too much plastic can ruin our oceans and our earth.

Weight

As well as plastic bags killing our oceans they can also break very easily by their extremely  fragile material which in the end  won’t break down for more than thousands of years. On the other hand Reusable bags will be able to hold around 6-10 kgs. They are very sturdy and are also made out of old unused fabric that will not break for long amounts of time. But can be thrown in the bin when they do completely break.

AWH Reusable Bags

AWH reusable bags are made out of old fabric that will save our planet from plastic pollution. These bags are better and stronger than plastic bags and will save you from using plastic bags. $6 for a small size bag and $8 for a big sized bag.

Dawn Raid

The night was calm and silent. Then Bang! Bang! Bang! What was that screamed my sisters. They rushed into my room shaking with fear. "It's just a storm" I said. "Hop in my bed".

As soon as we were about to doze off  Bang! Bang! Bang!. The banging continued but this time 10 times louder. My Dad rushed into my room to see if me and my sisters were OK. As soon as he was about to leave 2 policemen barged open our door.  Bright torches shone in me and my sisters faces. My mum shouted in fear "what are you doing". We all rushed to the lounge. "Show me your passports". Before My mum or Dad could answer Ella rushed out of my room armed with pens and pencils. "Leave my family alone" she yelled. I pulled her away before she poked one of the policemen in the eye. "Show me your passports"He screamed. No one answered so he started rummaging thru our stuff trying to look for passports. The other policemen looked at me and my family in complete disgust as if we were rubbish. I started thinking of a plan. I kneed the policemen right in between his legs."ow". He wailed. I was about to make a run for it when the policemen whacked me across the knuckles with a batten and then there my family when riding away in the paddy wagon. I sat in there sad, scared and worried about what would happen to me and my family. My knuckles bled with pain. I wrapped my hand up with the string from my pajamas. Soon enough we were in tiny samoa.
